Isaías Cassenda, who represented Angola, was declared the winner of the male edition of Best Global Model of the Year 2016 during the finals last Nov. 28 in Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril, Lisbon, Portugal. His female counterpart is Marina Durasinovic of Serbia who won in the female category. The winners won trophies and received a one-year contract in an international agency.
Isaías is 25 years old and stands at 1.87 m. He is one of the most prestigious Angolan models both for his elegance and the exoticism of his face. He has participated in all major Angolan fashion shows, such as Angola Fashion Week, Fashion Angola, International Fashion and has been present in the Moda Lisboa. In the 2016 edition of Angola Fashion Week was considered the "best male model.”
Frederico Riachos, the 18-year-old national swimming champion from Portugal won runner-up and the Best Body Award. The representative from the Philippines, Emanuele Mendoza Amboy, won the Best Designer Suit Award and the Best in Traditional Costume.
