Fernando E Padin Rodriguez will be representing his country, Puerto Rico, in
the international male contest Mr. Real Universe 2016
to be held in Lima, Peru on a new schedule on March 6, 2017. The winner
of the second edition and the current titleholder of Mr. Real Universe
2015 is
Cristobal Alvarez Leiva of Chile.
The Atayhua Fashion International organization announced that the event supposed to be held October 12-13, 2016 was cancelled because of the emergency situation in Miami due to "Hurricane Matthew", and wherein all flights of the participants from Europe and Asia made connections in Miami - U.S.A to Lima. The new dates for the pageant will be from 26 February to 6 March 2017, since it was not possible to reorganize for November because of the peak season in civil aviation and being so close to Christmas. The organizers asked understanding and good faith.
Ferrnando is the winner of the Mister Puerto Rico Petite n Tall 2016 contest.
