Shanith Fernando: Mister Model International Sri Lanka 2016

Shanith Fernando will represent Sri Lanka in the next edition of Mister Model International 2016 contest.The 4th edition of Mister Model International Pageant will take place in India on November 20, 2016 where Melvin Roman, the Mister Model International 2015, will crown his new successor at the end of the show.

Shanith is a businessman, lecturer, designer, make-up artist, stylist, hairdresser, wedding/event planner, chef and singer. He got a gold medal from his college degree in Psychology in the USA with a GPA of 4.0.

Dear friends, as Mr. Sri Lanka 2016 for Mr. Model International, it is my aim to give back to society to the best of my ability. As Mr. Sri Lanka, my motto during my reigning year and years to come in life, is to be "self giving and magnanimous". Living up to my motto, I have realized that radiating love, care, attention and kindness towards the needy starts from within one's self. It is only if you love yourself, your family, neighbors, colleagues, your countrymen and the world, that one will be able to truly enjoy the bliss of being self giving and magnanimous.
In this journey I have begun, I plan to share my love, respect and kindness towards my fellow human beings starting from the city I come from; Katana. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Perera Memorial School for the Differently Abled Children in Halpe, Katana is a school that cares for the helpless children in our society. Run solely on donations of generous human beings, this school needs much attention, financial assistance and any other form of help that one could extend in order to ensure its smooth operations.
My first article requesting help to help the helpless will appear on Ceylon Today newspaper over the week. I urge all of you to come forward and assist me to help this school raise necessary funds to sustain it and ensure these innocent helpless children have a solace for education, care and therapy.
