Top favorite Paul Iskandar of Lebanon wins 11th edition of Mister International!

And the winner of the 11th edition of Mister International (2016/2017) is 6'6 tall Paul Iskandar of Lebanon. Finally, after a week of hectic activities, the new Mister International‬ was declared in the final night held at The Stage of Asiatique in Bangkok, Thailand. The slow paced show as webcast live had fans waiting for the final results with some wondering why Mister Poland was not even included in the Top 16. The Mister International 2016 was webcast live on YouTube garnering almost 4,000 viewers. The viewers went down to less than 3,000 shortly after the Top 9 was announced where viewers became more surprised with the inclusion of Mister Thailand. Thailand never figured well in the top picks of many pageant bloggers.

The pageant was rescheduled because of the death of King Bhumibol of Thailand last October and the request of the Thai government to observe the period of mourning in the country. Mister International 2015 Pedro Mendes of Portugal crowned his successor at the end of the show. The pageant was presented by Mc.Plus Thailand.

Paul Iskandar also won as Mister Personality during the preliminary judging. He was born in Paris, France but migrated to Beirut, Lebanon when he was 4 years old. He is majoring in Physical Education and Sports but he dreams to become a lawyer someday. Born in the zodiac sign of Virgo, he loves basketball, swimming, fitness and tennis. A very active person, he likes to work a lot to be productive every day. He competed in Lebanon’s Dancing with the Stars.

This is the third time Lebanon won the Mister International title making the country a powerhouse in the pageant being with the most number of titles. The very first title of Mister International was grabbed by Wissam Hanna in 2006 held in Singapore. The second win of Lebanon was courtesy of Ali Hammoud in 2012 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
