Habib Noorbhai is Mr. South Africa 2016!

The epic final of this years journey to find South Africa's Model Male, the Mr. South Africa 2016 happened on November 24, 2016 at the Hangar 5, Spitfire Crescent, Rand Airport, Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa. Habib Noorbhai from Cape Town bested 13 other contestants to walk away with the coveted title. The event was produced by Johann Els.

Habib succeeds Armand Du Plessis, Mister South Africa 2015 and will probably represent South Africa in the next edition of Mr. World. The other winners were: Diaan Neethling as first runner-up and JP Robberts who won as 2nd runner-up.

The new Mr. South Africa says: “I barely slept a wink last night. Words can’t describe the emotions that is going through me at the moment. What I can say is that I’m truly humbled, appreciative and grateful to have achieved this prestigious title; in which any of the other amazing 13 men of honour could have also achieved. It was such an honour to have shared the stage, journey and platform with all of them. We know that our work does not stop and as Armand said last night, let’s keep that flame burning.”

Diaan Neethling is the first runner-up
Diaan Neethling – I am a motivated individual, believing in the beauty of life and embracing every moment with a positive attitude. Values play the most important role in my life as it creates the foundation from where every thought and action is initiated. I am capable of being an example and role model for South Africa’s youth as they are our future.
I am aspiring to be the next Mr. South Africa because of my ambassadorial qualities, caring attitude, inspirational characteristics and the fact that I believe in the future of our country. So many young individuals don’t have the ideal image of who they want to inspire to be like, who they want to look up to as a role model – I want to be this image for them. A title, such as Mr. South Africa, will serve as a stepping stone and platform which I would use to inspire and motivate the youth of South Africa.
