Pedro Mendes, a strong favorite for the title won over another hot favorite Anderson Tomazini of Brazil. He is now the new Mister International 2015 succeeding Neil Perez of the Philippines.
The glittering finals was held at the Newport Performing Arts of the Resorts World Manila ending weeks long of activities for the many candidates. The 10th staging of the Mister International 2015 contest is very organized and lives up to its reputation as the most prestigious male pageant in the world. The host organizing committee, PEPPS, together with the group of Alan Sim, head of the Mister International organization did a splendid job in making this year's edition a level higher than previous pageants.
The night also saw some disappointments to some of the top favorites. Spanish hunk Daniel Barreres only made it to Top 15 while Puerto Rico's, Fernando Alvarez, only advanced to Top 10, together with host delegate, Reniel Villareal and Rafael Angelucci of Venezuela. Fernando Alvarez of Puerto Rico seems the most affected because he had a heavy burden on his task as most of his compatriots have won their respective international male pageants for the year such as Mister Universal Ambassador, Mister Model International, Mister Tourism International and Mister Teen America International. The Mister International 2015 attracted a high caliber of candidates and the competition was very tough.
Mister Switzerland was asked by Francis Libiran: "If you were a world leader, what would you do to make a difference in the world?". Pedro answered: "[If] You cannot be the best...it means you have to try to be the best. [I would like] to show you what I can do," he said
