Masaya Yamagishi: Mister International Japan 2016

Masaya Yamagishi, form Kanagawa Prefecture, will represent Japan in the 11th edition of ‪‎Mister International to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on February 5-13, 2017.  The pageant was rescheduled because of the death of King Bhumibol of Thailand last October 2016 and the request of the Thai government to observe the period of mourning in the country. The Mister International 2016 will be webcast live on www.MisterInternational.net. Mister International 2015 Pedro Mendes of Portugal will crown his successor at the finals night.
Yamagishi, 23 years old and a Shonan native, has been swimming since the age of two and has ranked third in youth surfing competitions. He currently works as a gym and swimming coach. He idolizes Ken Watanabe and screenwriter Sho Aikawa. When asked about female actors, he noted that he liked women with fuller faces and named Manami Higa as someone he would love to costar in the future.

Masaya Yamagishi is a competitive swimmer and has been practicing the sport for 20 years. Currently he works as a TV personality and gym trainer who was once in-charged of a 97-year-old man’s workout lessons for 2 years.
