Andres Bechan: Mr. Real Universe Chile 2016

Andres Bechan won the title of Mr. Golden Chile 2016 during the finals of Mister Chile 2016 held at the Monticello Grand Casino last September 9, 2016. He will be representing Chile in the international male contest Mr. Real Universe 2016 to be held in Lima, Peru on a new schedule on Feb. 26 - March 6, 2017. Another new title is at stake in the said pageant, the Mister Galan Internacional 2017. The winner of the second edition and the current titleholder of Mr. Real Universe 2015 is Cristobal Alvarez Leiva of Chile.

The international competition is designed to select a gentleman of universal distinction, enterprise, and virtue that can represent the ideal global man. Featuring men from across the world, the “Mr. Real Universe” pageant will include the following categories: formal wear, swimwear, interview, and national costumes to showcase pride for each participating country. 

The pageant which was supposed to be held October 12-13, 2016 was cancelled because of the emergency situation in Miami due  to "Hurricane Matthew", and wherein all flights of the participants from Europe and Asia made connections in Miami - U.S.A to Lima. The new dates for the pageant which will be from 26 February to 6 March 2017 was announced by Atayhua Fashion International organization, since it was not possible to reorganize for November because of the peak season in civil aviation and being so close to Christmas. The organizers asked understanding and good faith.

Andres is 23 years old and studied journalism at the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez. He comes from Vina del Mar, a coastal resort city northwest of Santiago, Chile.
