Avery D. Wilson won the title of Mr. United States 2016 and will represent the USA in
the international male contest Mr. Real Universe 2016
to be held in Lima, Peru on a new schedule on Feb. 26 - March 6, 2017. Another new title is at stake in the said pageant, the Mister Galan Internacional 2017. The winner
of the second edition and the current titleholder of Mr. Real Universe
2015 is
Cristobal Alvarez Leiva of Chile.
The international competition is designed to select a gentleman of universal distinction, enterprise, and virtue that can represent the ideal global man. Featuring men from across the world, the “Mr. Real Universe” pageant will include the following categories: formal wear, swimwear, interview, and national costumes to showcase pride for each participating country.

The pageant which was supposed to
be held October 12-13, 2016 was cancelled because of the emergency situation
in Miami due to "Hurricane Matthew", and wherein all flights of the
participants from Europe and Asia made connections in Miami - U.S.A to
Lima. The new dates for the pageant which will be from 26 February to 6 March
2017 was announced by Atayhua
Fashion International organization, since it was not possible to reorganize for November because of the peak
season in civil aviation and being so close to Christmas. The organizers asked understanding and good faith.
Avery is a multidisciplinary leader and creative. He was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA and deeply influenced by his hometown roots and passion for the arts. After 10+ years as an accomplished dancer, singer, actor, choreographer, and model, he has been able to use his talents to fulfill his life's passion of helping others and enriching the lives of individuals and emerging talent.
Avery began his performing arts studies under the Mid-City Dance Project, and later studied at Studio Harmonic of Paris, France, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater of New York. In January of 2016, he launched the Avery D. Wilson Brand, which is an eight-pillared consulting brand focused on offering fresh, new perspectives through empowerment, self-expression, and belief in one’s self and abilities.
