Daniel is 22-years-old from Valencia and is a student of Architecture. He has a height of 1.90m(6’3”) high. He won the title of Mr. Valencia City 2014 contest that opened the door for his participation in Mister International 2015 Spain.
Daniel was excited to represent Spain in Manila as he has a grandmother in the Philippines and he says "it would be like playing at home", "I have many relatives who were going to encourage me," he joked as he laughed.
Even though he has many offers to do fashion shows, he still would like to complete his course in Architecture.
During the finals of Mister International Spain, it was Mister La Rioja, 25 years old Alejandro Nieto, who won the title of Mister International Spain 2015. But because of some contest rules in the Mister International (Alejandro being already a father which is against the international contest rules), his 1st runner up Daniel Barreres of Valencia will compete instead in Manila.
The Mr. Spain International published a brief official statement during the finals and confirms Daniel Barreres as the official representative of Spain in the Mister International 2015 to be held in Manila, Philippines in mid-November.
” The organization of international mister Spain communicates that, in keeping with the clause 10 of the contract of participation in the National International Pageant Mister Spain, the representative of Valencia, Daniel Barreres, first runner up of the national pageant held on the day of yesterday 24 July 2015 in Santa Cruz de La Palma, will be the candidate to represent Spain in the Mister International pageant to be held in Manila, Philippines, in the month of November in compliance with the rules of the international competition. Alejandro Nieto will continue to maintain the title of Mister International Spain 2015.”
